Our school program runs 40 weeks and follows the Highlands County School schedule except that we do not have early release days. We offer small class sizes so that the individualized needs of each student can be met and are challenged in a structured and safe environment.

Each student is given an IEP (Individualized Educational Program) based on their individual needs in which objectives and goals are written for the year. In addition to our academic program, students will engage in character development and performing art activities such as visual arts, dance, and music.

Mentoring

Male mentor.jpg

By mentoring a young person just one hour each week, you can change a child’s life.  We all remember the adults that helped shape us into who we’ve become. Divine HOPE encourages everyday community members to do the extraordinary by becoming a mentor! Welcome a young person into your routine- go for hikes, play cards, try community activities- together!  We are focused on positive youth development and evidenced-based mentoring practices.

EMERGENCY    FUNDING

Emergency funding.jpg

Divine HOPE's emergency funding program provides financial support to qualifying individuals and families.  Monies are given to purchase food, clothing and to pay utilities for people who have receive shut-off notices from their utility companies or who have fallen behind in their payments.  Generally, recipients are senior citizens, families with low incomes, dependent children or disabled persons.  It is our desire to prevent any child or person from going to sleep hungry and/or living in darkness.
